ABOUT DARCY
I have always been equally attracted to imagination, and to authentic connection. With the world surrounding us that’s so very hard to understand and forgive, the best way I can see to get by is through fostering connection with ourselves and each other. And for me, film - even as it puts us in an imaginary world - is the most direct path. Worlds that are like our own but a little more magical to help us a find our place.
I was born in a small town in upstate NY, moved to New York City when I was three, and currently live in Portland, Oregon. I graduated from Yale University where I studied Political Sociology and then got a degree in Classical Acting at the London Academy of Dramatic Arts. I also studied screenwriting at the New School, and acting with Fred Kareman and at the Neighborhood Playhouse. I have two daughters, age 3 and 5, who make it harder to find time to work, but much easier to be inspired to do so. Darcy on IMDB.
